ZULU Wire baskets are made from telephone wire and are completely washable. This basket came from Sivosenkosi Women's CO-OP in Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa.  The artists are pictured.  These women care for not only their own families but many orphans who have lost their parents from the Aids virus. Their average income per year is $150 US.
